Mum Defends Having Sex In Front Of Children While Breastfeeding On Live TV

A mother who caused controversy by revealing that she has sex during breastfeeding, has defended her decision on live television, while breastfeeding of course.

On yesterday’s edition of This Morning, presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby met mother of three Tasha Maile, from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tasha, who regularly posts videos about breastfeeding on her YouTube account Spiritual Tasha Mama, describes herself as a ‘vegan breastfeeding mama’ and wants to help break down the stigma that surrounds the topic of breastfeeding.

Nature intended women to breastfeed our children and it is not only the most natural way but it is scientifically proven to provide the best nourishment.

It is a shame then that our society then labels this act as wrong and Tasha continually gets comments on her videos criticising her decision to publicly breastfeed.

In a video titled ‘Do I have sex while breastfeeding’, Tasha took her forthright attitude to a new level as she revealed that she does indeed breastfeed her three-month-old baby Love while being intimate with her husband.

In the video she said:

What’s wrong with enjoying yourself? Obviously care about who you share your sexual energy with but it’s a whole different topic.

We are pleasure beings, we are meant to enjoy sex and pleasure and all things orgasmic and all things can be orgasmic.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me if it’s okay to breastfeed and have sex.

From what I remember, I remember sleeping with my ex-husband and my son was on me breastfeeding and we would have sex from behind or something.

There’s nothing bad about making love at all, ever.

Tasha also added that having sex with your child ‘there’ doesn’t mean that they are involved with the act.

Critics were quick to hit back at the mother with some calling it ‘incest’ and ‘inappropriate’, while others have praised her openness.

Tasha joined This Morning via video link to respond to these critics and defend her decision, while breastfeeding her baby Love.

When Holly and Phil quizzed her about the controversial video she said:

The baby was sleeping while breastfeeding, he was very attached to me.

If your baby is sleeping, again being an adult about the conversation, we all like sex… its totally fine.

The baby’s not sitting there judging you and thinking ‘My mum and dad are having sex’.

Do I make love in front of my eldest child, no.

I’m sure lots of us have walked in on our parents.

It’s not about being right or wrong if you’re having sex in front of your children and it feels good.

A stunned Phil exclaimed ‘That’s a hell of a quote’ to which Tasha responded:

Parents have had sex in a room while children are sleeping.

During the interview Tasha did not seem too bothered about being criticised for her decision, but disgruntled viewers took to Twitter to complain anyway.

Whether you think it is wrong or right, Tasha is just going to continue breastfeeding her children in this way and we can all admire what a good multitasker she is!
